The old Roman cookbook "Apicius" included many meatball recipes. Some of these include spicy lamb and egg yolk and saffron. This method was brought to the West and is called "gilding". There are many regional variations among them. The best known is "kufteh Tabrizi", from the northwestern region of Iran.
This dish has a diameter of 20 centimeters, but almost the same composition as today's meatballs. Various meatball recipes can be found throughout Europe and Asia. From Iberia and Sweden to the Indian subcontinent, there is a wide variety of meatballs from the "kofta" family.
- 700 gr fresh mushrooms
- 2 finely chopped onions
- 2 boiled and grated potatoes

Method of preparation:

After you prepare them, you have two options. Either fry them or bake them in the oven. Of course, the second option is much healthier. Why? Because it does not involve oil and frying. However, in both cases, the roasts are ready when they acquire a uniform golden color. I enjoy cooking and good appetite!
The starch in potatoes is a complex carbohydrate whose digestion slowly releases carbohydrates (19 carbohydrates per 100 g) that will not lead to a sharp rise in blood sugar. The potato is a source of energy and favors the prolongation of the feeling of satiety.

Until a few days ago, I realized how often I prepare these Fasting potatoes from potatoes and yet I did not publish the recipe on the blog.

Fasting Potato Meatballs & # 8211 Ingredients
500 g potatoes
4-5 tablespoons flour
50 ml oil
2-3 cloves garlic
1/2 bunch of green parsley
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
Vegeta Naturella (does not contain additives and preservatives)
salt if needed
Potato fasting meatballs & # 8211 Preparation
Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into cubes. Boil in water with a little natural vegetable. After boiling, drain the water and crush. Add to the mashed potatoes, oil, crushed garlic, pepper, paprika, Vegeta Naturella to taste and flour.
Stir until all ingredients are incorporated. We must obtain a composition as dense as possible. We moisten our hands with cold water and form meatballs. Fry in hot oil until nicely browned. Remove on paper napkins to drain excess oil.
Note: The formed meatballs can be given if desired through breadcrumbs and then fried in oil. If you do not want to fry them in oil, I recommend you put the meatballs in breadcrumbs and place them on a tray lined with baking paper and bake them in the oven for 30-35 minutes until they are nicely browned.
